Wine grower Mario Zelt The vineyard
Since the mid- 1990s Mario Zelt has been running the vineyard with the motivation to produce high quality wine. For increasing the level of quality, both classically domestic as well as international grapes are cultivated in the vineyards. His two-year apprenticeship to become a wine grower, studies in oenology, as well as various internships abroad, further motivated him to improve the quality of his wines, for instance by exclusively harvesting manually. The wines of the vineyards Mario Zelt are based on a combination of tradition and modern practice. It is the goal of the young wine grower, who was nominated in 2003 for the VDP Palatinate Superior Talents, to produce wines that reflect the character of the sites.
