The winery now cultivates almost 50 hectares of vineyards and has focused on the production of high-quality red wines. Nevertheless, there are also selected white, rosé and sweet wines in the portfolio of the company, which are popular far beyond the borders of Austria. The basis for the quality of the wines is a living soil, healthy plants and work that follows the rhythms of nature. All grapes are picked by hand and mostly matured in traditional wooden barrels.

The most famous vineyards of the Umathum winery include Kirschgarten, Vom Stein and Ried Hallebühl. In addition to the traditional local varieties Blaufränkisch, Sankt Laurent and Zweigelt, not only white varieties such as Pinot gris, yellow and red Traminer, but also historical grape varieties from Burgenland such as Lindenblättriger are consciously cultivated.
